The Coalition will host the 2nd Annual Rape Prevention & Education Institute on August 25 - 27, 2010 in Nashville, TN at Holiday Inn Select - Vanderbilt. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Central Time on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.

The 2010 Institute will feature nationally recognized speakers:

Alan Berkowitz, Ph.D., Independent Consultant
Denice Ann Evans, J'Hue Film Productions,LLC.
Bob Franklin, Virginia Department of Health
Kelly Miller, Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence

This year’s institute will provide opportunities for Tennesseans to learn concepts and skills necessary for the development, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive primary prevention focused programs.

Workshops Include:

• Strategies for Involving Teens in Prevention Work
• Sexual Assault Prevention Dilemmas
• Fostering Men’s Responsibility for Preventing Sexual Violence.
• Working with Diverse Populations
• Violence Prevention Curricula Review
• Collaborating with Law Enforcement
• And much more!

This year’s Rape Prevention & Education Institute is provided at no cost to participants. All meals will be on your own. Hotel accommodations can be arranged by contacting Holiday Inn Select at 615.327.4707. Take advantage of the special room rate of $115.00/night when reservations are made by July 26th, 2010.
